Callaway Speedster flashes c16 With Carbon Ceramic Brakes

Author: admin  |  Category: Callaway

This new version of speedster flashes has fair combination of immense power, concept car novelty, Natural car beauty, and usage of high technologies. A greatcharged, 700 hp, 6.2-liter alloy V8 gets the car to 60 in 3.2 seconds. authoriz developed, driver-changeable 10-position springs help keep the Michelin Pilots on the road.

This version has three cameras insteasd of rear and side mirrors, One of them in rear and others are in sides. There is no way to see it in operation, but the Infiniti EX has the same sort of set up (though it also has mirrors). We expect that during slow maneuvers the console screen shows the three views, but what kind of side view you get during on the highway is a good question. Though with no pillars or roof, a quick flick of the head might be all you need.

CTS Sport Wagon Cadillac unveils 2010

Author: admin  |  Category: Cadillac

This a Cadillac and not a VW, therefore it’s “Sport Wagon” rather than “SportWagen”. What we have here is the result of a fission reaction on the Cadillac SRX. Seeing that the current “neither fish nor fowl” SRX crossover wasn’t cutting it in the marketplace, General Motors’ “Art and Science” brand has split its only CUV into two distinct vehicles. The old SRX was based on the CTS’ Sigma platform but looked too car-like to be considered an SUV. At the same time it rode too high to be a car. Buyers who might have liked the wagon utility of the old SRX but are enamored with the style of the new CTS can now opt for the CTS Sport Wagon.

The Sport Wagon takes the largely acclaimed styling of the CTS and adds a rear hatch allowing much more stuff to be carried. The design team led by Clay Dean has done more than just graft a longer roof onto the sedan. They extended the roof-line back and the tail-lights up to the roof, as well as adding hidden rails in the roof line. The V shape of the grille is also replicated in the contours of the tailgate. The wagon ends up with 25 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the seats. Cadillac expects about 60 percent of CTS sales in Europe will be the wagon while only 20 percent of Americans will opt for the new body style when it goes on sale in the spring of 2009.

Best Vehicle Buick Enclave Gets Passport For Sale In China

Author: admin  |  Category: Buick

In addition to getting the coolest Buicks which are not available in America, individuals in China are about to get the best vehicle that Buick has to offer in the States. In a deal which was initially inked ten months ago, the attractive Enclave CUV, built at GM’s Lansing Delta Township assembly plant, is headed for China.  The U.S. assembled ‘utes will make their way by means of Shanghai GM. The exportation of the Enclave to China is only surprising in that it took so long for the General to get the model there in the first place. After all, Buick sells more vehicles in China than anywhere else in the world, with the nation consuming over half of all Buicks worldwide. We can only hope that Shanghai GM returns the favor and sends some of its best designs our way… and soon.

An Open-Top Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Bugatti

Author: admin  |  Category: Bugatti

Our buddy Richard Owen over at Supercars.net has revealed that the long-rumored targa-style Bugatti Veyron will officially be called the Grand Sport. We recently learned that the pop-top Bug will make its public debut at the Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance in a couple of weeks. What we didn’t know was that Gooding & Company will be auctioning the first order slot on August 17th, right after the best-in-show trophies are handed out at Pebble Beach.
While an open-top Veyron will instantly appeal to some, the thought of removing a chunk of aerodynamically essential material from the roofline will have many others questioning their sanity. Have no fear, however, as Bugatti has developed the roof so that there will be no draft inside. Even with its top speed limited to just 217, this will be one of the fastest open top cars around. We’ll get you more details as they become available, but for now, get thee to Pebble if this is the the car you’ve been waiting for. And bring more than $2,250,000, the expected starting price. Bugatti is planning to build just 80 of these Grand Sports.
Maybe we’ll get a chance to compare it to the coupe we got to sample last year.

Electronically Restrained New Mercedes-Benz SL To Reliably Insane Levels Launch By BRABUS

Author: admin  |  Category: Brabus

“BRABUS” might as well be German for, “Hey, why not?” This would seem to be the question its engineers ask themselves before they stuff ludicrous amounts of power under the hoods of Mercedes-Benz cars and trucks. This behavior is well-documented, and it continues unabated with the arrival of MB’s new SL. Full wheel/tire, interior, and styling packages are a given. Backing up those enhanced looks is an assortment of tuning packages capable of providing more power than even Montgomery Scott could ever plead for.

The SV12 S Biturbo engine swap appears to have been created by someone with a severe, pathological hatred for tires. This is the same engine used in the Brabus Bullit, and it dishes out a predictably ridiculous 720 horsepower and 973 lb-ft of torque. The latter number is electronically restrained to a mere 811 lb-ft., and a top speed of well over 200 mph comes with the territory. Not interested in the full swap? No worries, BRABUS has your back. SL 65 AMG drivers can opt for the T 65 S package, which bumps the stock V12 Biturbo to 705 hp/811 lb-ft. There’s a solution for the all-motor SL 63 AMG as well that packs on an additional 40 horses over stock. This pattern continues right on down the line — even the “lowly” V6-powered cars can be tuned to deliver 327 hp/ 310 lb-ft. Bonkers. Er, BRABUS, rather.

Orignally Debuted BMW M3 facelift revealed

Author: admin  |  Category: BMW

We’ve only had a few months to get to know the new BMW M3, but the 2009 model has already gone under the knife. For 2009, the M3 sedan gets the revised taillights that originally debuted on the 328i and 335i, but the nip and tuck up front won’t carry over as the M3’s fascia different from its lesser siblings.

In addition to the new iDrive controller that’s filtering down from the 7-series, the 2009 M3 will be offered in a new color, Le Mans Blue, which has only been available on other models.

Check out the gallery to scope out all the revisions.

Thanks to all who tipped in.

Big, Blocky, Continential Flying, Spur Speed Released By Bentley

Author: admin  |  Category: Bentley

The one and only phrase you need to remember is “hellaciously fast.” Bentley’s Continental Flying Spur Speed, officially announced in June, is pretty much what it’d be like to strap an EMD powertrain from a freight locomotive into a car, without all the noise and industrial fumes. Set off by subtle cues, the Flying Spur Speed turns the burner up on the already hot Flying Spur, boosting horsepower out of the twelve cylinder powerplant to an even 600 hp from 552 hp. It’s enough to hurtle this elegant block of English-cum-Germanic automobile to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and filthy automotive types will be able to crawl all over this fine automobile at the British International Motor Show. In a mere 15 days, the special brightwork, rifled exhaust tips, and smooth as glass paint will be littered with fingerprints once the show opens to the public July 23rd at the ExCel London. Pardon us while we scour the intertubes for cheap airfare. Press release after the jump.

Audi A4 Sedan And Avant For 2009

Author: admin  |  Category: Audi

The 2009 Audi A4 sedan and Avant will be hitting lots later this year, and before dealers can begin taking orders in September, they’ve got to let people know what it’ll cost to get behind the wheel of the thoroughly revised entry-level Audi.
Prices for the sedan start at $32,700, equipped with the all-new 2.0-liter TFSI four that sends 211 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque through the front wheels. Quattro will be available on the four-banger, along with Audi’s six-seed Tiptronic transmission. Buyers that opt for the Avant will have to shell out $34,500 for the added hatch, extra cargo room and standard Quattro all-wheel-drive. If you choose the 3.2-liter FSI V6, the six-speed manumatic is standard, along with the Quattro system.
Dealers will have a limited supply of A4 sedans and wagons available for test-drives later this month and customer deliveries should begin later in September. Follow the jump for full details in Audi’s press release.

With Carbin Ceramic Dick Brakes Aston Martin V12 Vantage

Author: admin  |  Category: Aston Martin

Aston Martin shocked the industry when it took the wraps off of the baby-blue V12 Vantage RS concept back in December. The idea was revolutionary yet stunningly simple at the same time: take the lowest car in the line-up and turn it into the highest. Would Aston build it? We all hoped so, and our hopes were vindicated with spy shots of test mules running developmental laps around the race track.

From the latest batch, it appears that all those louvers on the hood will remain – a necessity for cooling the 600-hp V12 that is sitting where a 380-hp V8 usually resides – but the rear wing seems to have been reduced, with a big carbon-fiber diffuser taking over the balance (literally) of the downforce requirements. Eyewitness accounts indicate that the test mule is also wearing the carbon-ceramic disc brakes from the current top-of-the-line DBS, while insiders expect the imminently desirable supercar to bear an equally breathtaking pricetag at double that of the base V8 version. Worth it? We’re betting yes.

Dramatically Bolder Look Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Author: admin  |  Category: AMG

Mercedes-Benz is launching an exclusive new model designed to perform equally well on public roads and on the race track. Based on a highly modified and lightened version of the company’s revered SL roadster, the new SL65 AMG Black Series coupe features a carbon-fiber fixed roof, front fenders, hood, trunk lid and front and rear aprons. With all these super-strong, lightweight parts, plus the absence of retractable roof hardware, the car is more than 550 pounds lighter than the standard SL

Mercedes’ in-house tuners applied their tried and true philosophy to the SL65 AMG Black Series, beginning with a carbon fiber hood, fenders and trunk, along with nixing the retractable hard top in favor of a fixed carbon fiber roof with an integrated roll cage. As such, the Black is 550 pounds lighter than the stock SL65, coming in at 4,122 pounds.

This modle has 7 vents – 3 in the bumper, 2 on the hood and 2 in the fenders – feed copious quantities of air to the 6.0-liter V12, fitted with a duo of upgraded turbochargers. Power is up to 661 hp available at 5,400 rpm, while torque remains the same at 738 lb.-ft. With a five-speed automatic gearbox equipped with AMG’s speedshift software, the Black can hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to a gearing-limited top speed of 199 mph.
